How it Works

Have you ever wondered why, when you have tried to change a habit or behavior it usually resurfaces?  Because the strong behavioral pull that keeps you stuck is rooted in the subconscious mind – the all-empowering wizard behind the curtain! The subconscious mind is considered to be the source or root of many of our behaviors, emotions, attitudes and motivations.  And all the subconscious cares about is survival.  And how have you survived all of these years?  – by keeping the tired habits and behaviors you want to shed.  These new ideas to stop is a clash against what has worked for so long.  And your subconscious mind does not easily let go.

Hypnotherapy is a healing method of understanding what works for you, how you want to get there, and what you will need to continue your progress.  This process is something you do, not something that is done to you.  The therapy heightens your awareness and is a very natural state.  Many people describe a session as a complete and total escape from all physical tension and emotional stress, while remaining completely alert.  In this state, positive suggestions are given as a powerful tool to provoke positive changes.  It is not entertainment, nor is it magic. Your success depends on your willingness, your commitment and your efforts to change.

MY APPROACH

For first time clients I offer a no-fee consultation, whereby you can choose to either come into the office or connect via online for a full one hour period.  During this initial session I will explain to you how hypnosis works, listen to your concerns and give further information upon how I feel we can best move forward.  We can even do some guided visual imagery of relaxation if you want the experience.  

 

Also, I have discovered that distance therapy can have a profound and positive effect on my clients. If you prefer to engage your therapy online, from the comfort of your own personal space, there is tremendous opportunity for personal improvement! Just so long as you approach therapy sincerely and consistently all your goals can be achieved.  Then your new you will emerge.
